This position is responsible for applying fertilizers, herbicides, and other turf and ornamental treatments to residential and commercial properties in a safe, effective, and professional manner. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable in turf management practices, committed to safety and compliance, and dedicated to delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply fertilizers, pre-emergent and post-emergent herbicides, insecticides, and other plant health products according to label instructions and company standards
  • Calibrate and maintain application equipment to ensure accurate and efficient treatments
  • Diagnose turf and ornamental issues — including weeds, pests, and disease — and recommend appropriate solutions
  • Follow all state and federal regulations related to pesticide and fertilizer application
  • Maintain accurate service records, chemical usage logs, and customer notes
  • Operate company vehicles and equipment safely and responsibly
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with customers regarding services performed and recommended treatments
  • Perform routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance

Required Qualifications

  • Valid pesticide applicator license in the State of Michigan, including:
